'Michael Myers Versus Pinhead' by KurtBelcher1 'Michael Myers Versus Pinhead' by KurtBelcher1
This is an illustration I did for a fan art section of a DVD of a still-to-be-released documentary on the "Halloween" films. The director wanted art concerning Michael Myers -- specifically him taking on other horror film icons. This is him taking on Pinhead from the "Hellraiser" movies.

I think a good way for Michael Myers and Pinhead to cross paths would be to have Steven Lloyd be adopted by Tommy Doyle. Unaware of Michael Myers is his uncle and have him and a few friends sneak away. On Halloween to smith groove sanitarium which is now abandoned, throwing a party and have one of them find a secret room with an undisturbed puzzle box and open it unaware Michael Myers is there as well to kill Steve.

This crossover almost happened: after the success New Line enjoyed with Freddy vs. Jason the studio that owns the rights to Halloween and Hellraiser briefly contemplated a crossover of their own, pitting Michael against Pinhead. The proposed project was tenatively titled "Helloween," and rumor has it that the original creators of both series, John Carpenter and Clive Barker, both expressed an interest in being involved if it ever came to pass. The studio ultimately put it to an online poll and the results came back against it-albeit very narrowly, less than 5% as I recall. Eventually the project simply evaporated.

It seems like a strange pairing, but I could have seen it working in a way-if they directly related it to the first two Halloween and Hellraiser films; Michael Myers could have been one of Dr. Channard's patients while he was trying to solve the puzzle box, and perhaps Michael solved it himself-and perhaps it was the influence of the Cenobites that made him seemingly impervious to pain and death. An interesting idea, to be sure.

If anyone wants to see this get made, go to change.org and search Helloween film: To make the Hellraiser-Halloween crossover film. Hopefully, if we get enough people to sign, we'll see it after the remake of Hellraiser. Spread the word. Thank you.

I'm not really a colorist, so I asked a colorist for a few pointers on it. Here are his tips: If you use Photoshop, use more layers and change their color mode to overlay or darken. This will lose the white thin lines around the black areas easily. Also, use more highlights and shades. He says there are a lot of YouTube videos on coloring, and advises you to check those out.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! By the way, I uploaded some other pinhead vs. michael posters. They're now on my homepage. Just as a question, how do I get others to see my art besides telling them?

You could probably put it on some Forums, maybe start a Blog and put that on your Facebook, Twitter, etc. It's an idea. :)

Probably still too big. Might try downloading GIMP. That'll let you resize it. Try here:

are you aware that after the success of freddy vs jason there were plans for a michael myers vs pinhead crossover movie? it was going to be called helloween. it would have dealt with michael's connection to the cenobites. it would have revealed that michael was possessed by a cenobite named samhain when he was six and that's why he is like he is now. sadly the movie will never see the light of day...

Didn't know that, but it sounds interesting. This was actually a request from the maker of a "Halloween" documentary that came out a few years ago. Still, I thought "Freddy Vs. Jason" had some decent ideas, but was mostly lackluster. So maybe it was a good thing that the movie didn't get made. Fun idea, though!

There were more vs films then just this. There was Leatherface vs. Pluto (from The Hills Have Eyes). Another one, that's still going around, is Chucky vs. Leprechaun. Rumors are it's going to be released soon after the Child's Play remake. Same would go Helloween. It may be released after the Hellraiser remake. Only time will tell.
